ARE THERE RESTROOMS AT RACE START?

There is one restroom at the starting line near the river, one facility for emergencies slightly off the race course inside the park and 2 port-a-potties on the course outside the park. Participants will also be encouraged to utilize W.A.G. bags whenever possible to protect the delicate river basin ecosystem.

IS THERE CELL PHONE SERVICE ANYWHERE?

There are pockets of cellular signal on some of the bigger hills but there is no service on most of the course. Cell service and wifi is extremely limited.

HOW WILL ULTRA, MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON RUNNERS GET TO THEIR STARTING LINE?

Runners will be shuttled to their starting lines by van. All participants of all races park at McKenna Ranch. Check your race registration email for details on arrival time and shuttle load/departure times. 

WHAT WILL BE AVAILABLE AT AID STATIONS?

Both water and Hammer Heed will be available on the course. There will be an aid station every 5-6 miles. Hand sanitizer and sunscreen will also be available.

HOW MANY PARTICIPANTS ARE ALLOWED?

This race is limited to 70 runners total.

WILL THERE BE A DROP BAG ON THE COURSE?

No drop bags.

SHOULD I WEAR TRAIL OR RUNNING SHOES?

With the exception of a couple pockets of pavement, the course is primarily gravel road. Trail shoes would be best.

IS THERE ANY REQUIRED EQUIPMENT?

Yes. Cups are not provided at water stations so runners will need a camelbak or refillable water bottle to carry with them during the race.

IS FOUR WHEEL DRIVE REQUIRED?

There is no four wheel drive necessary to park at McKenna Ranch. Should participants and/or guests with day passes want to go all the way into the park post-race, four wheel drive is encouraged.
